Postcard from Dharmashala Himachal

The Story

In July 2021, I sat on a quiet stone ledge looking out over the misty hills of Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh. The world was slowly opening up again after lockdown, and being in those mountains felt like taking a deep, long-awaited breath. It was first trip to Himachal of mine with my husband Sagar. Sitting there, watching the fog play hide-and-seek with the valley, time simply slowed down. I didn’t have all the answers for what came next, but in that moment, just being there was enough. Looking at this picture today, it reminds me of a simple wish: to always find a quiet spot where life slows down, where you can take stock of the beautiful chaos, and just be.
